DG COURSE

Hazardous Material is defined as any material that requires careful attention to guarantee adequate safety to life and property because of its potentially hazardous nature. With this as the basis, CWT Logistics Pte Ltd held the Safety and Awareness Training on Dangerous Goods for staffs of CWT Globelink on Nov 25 th and Dec 2 nd 2008. The training is conducted by Mr. Koh Pee Kok (Director, Business Development) and Mr. M.Sintha (Manager, DG and Compliance). Sharing their professional experience on dangerous goods, it has been professionally delivered, materials have been provided, ideas have been exchanged and questions have been brought up.

This course aim to create awareness to CWT Globelink staffs in understanding:  

• Physical and chemical properties that cause substances to be classified as dangerous goods

• Define the international and local regulations governing the carriage of dangerous goods by sea, road, rail and air

• Acquire techniques in applying IMDG Code

• Appreciate the safety guidelines in the segregation and safe handling and storage of dangerous goods.

It was a great experience for all staffs as they learnt to be aware of the nature, property and safety handling for Dangerous goods.
