New Customs Center in Merghem Warehouse

Being the first private company in Egypt to establish a bonded warehouse with full committee at site, our Egypt office has taken another step to forge close cooperation with the Egyptian Customs Authority by building a Complete Customs Center inside our warehouse serving the whole industrial area of Amreya region. This is a major milestone and achievement for Globelink Egypt .

Advantages of the New Customs Center

1. Greater Market Standing for Globelink Egypt

• This customs center will be the main customs hub for all committees outside the port.

2. Add Value & Save Time

• The customs center is basically working on the basis of “One stop shop”. Our clients can now finishes all formalities starting from receiving the release order till releasing & trucking the cargo, all done in one location within 2 hours.

• The center is supported by computer systems linking customs to our documentation program to our warehouse systems.

• It is expected to increase our client base using Globelink FCL & LCL services, upon completing the customs process inside our depot, which gives them advantage of complete full service in one location.

• The computer data entry system linking the customs to our communication department will allow us to have more details about competitors and market activities

3. Enhance Profitability

• Our IT dept. will be responsible of entering all customs certificates of this center on the computer system for a certain fee including our shipments and others.

Enhancement of Egypt Warehouse

This year we have been able to enhance our warehouse facilities in Egypt .

CFS Warehouse

• Added a chemical and IMO warehousing facility ( Area A)

• Added an area at the back of the building to facilitate un-stuffing of cargos

• Expanded the front area to ease cargo release operations.

• Added extra 500 cbm rack storage

• Added a new ramp to reduce containers discharge costs

• Added 2 new forklifts to improve operation efficiency
