We are proud to announce the latest addition of the Kuwait office in our family. Globelink West Star Shipping Co., W.L.L. office in Kuwait was commenced on 14th September 2009 and it is located at 17th Floor, Al Khaleej Tower Abu Bakr Street, Al-Qibla/Salhiya, Kuwait.

LCL CONSOLIDATION – IMPORT
To provide deconsolidation services worldwide partners and provide them with sales support.

DOOR TO DOOR SHIPMENTS
In conjunction with our partners worldwide, we will be able to undertake door to door shipments with complete control.

CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
We offers clearance and delivery of sea and air shipments to clients through our custom clearance team who are well versed with the contemporary customs clearance procedures and regulations for both incoming and outgoing cargo at Kuwait seaport and airport.

EXPORT SERVICES
We served all worldwide destinations and shall offer full containers and a consolidation services with competitive rates.  We also handle nominations of our worldwide partners ex Kuwait both by SEA and AIR.

TRUCKING SERVICES TO IRAQ
Trucking facilities are normally arranged through reputed associated companies equipped with the most modern and varied fleet of vehicles for local delivery and intergulf movements, Intransit manifestation and overland transportation to Iraq.

Port Coverage
Kuwait has two main commercial ports i.e. Shuwaikh & Shuaiba

 

Shuwaikh Port: Shuwaikh port lies on the south shore of Kuwait Bay. Shuwaikh port is considered the main commercial port in the country, with twenty-one deepwater berths. It handles the bulk of merchant shipping trade and all types of vessels including liner, tramp, container, Ro-Ro, barges, fishing trawlers and small passenger ships.

Shuaiba Port: Shuaiba is the second major port of Kuwait for handling commercial traffic. Priority is given to vessels for loading exports of the companies of the Shuaiba Industrial Area and for vessels having imports of raw materials, equipment and machinery for Shuaiba industrial area.
Shuaiba Port is located 45 kms south of Kuwait city. There are 20 commercial & container berths at Shuaiba port of 4,068 meters total length.  Four of these berths are used for container vessels.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Shuwaikh & Shuaiba Ports are controlled and operated by the Government run Kuwait Port Authority
• Oil Terminals at Ahmadi & Abdullah are controlled and operated by the Government run Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
• State marine agency “Mina Tank” has a monopoly on port calls at KNPC oil terminals, other shipping agents can act as protective agents
• Mina Saud in the south is a privately operated oil terminal, run by Chevron Texaco where any agents can be appointed for port call
• NEW! Container terminal planned on Bubiyan Island to act as gateway to Southern Iraq
