The MSC Daniela - Maiden voyage on Dec 2008 is the largest container ship ever built and able to accommodate up to 14,000 twenty-foot-equivalent containers, at an overall length of 366 meters.
In May 05, 2009, 9 staff of CWT Globelink entered into the world of MSC Daniela located at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal. The said excursion was conducted by the MSC in conjunction with PSA. The day started with a PSA port development presentation by PSA personnel, followed by video screening on PSA's development and it's presented all around the world. Thereafter, staff headed to Pasir Panjang Terminal where the ship was anchored. Globelink staff had to climb on a 5 storey high ladder to reach at the top of the ship. Upon reaching the main control room, the friendly Italian Captain had welcome and served the staff with Authentic Italian Pizza.
The trip was an eye-opener & enlightening experience for the staff as it was the first time they witnessed the process on how the containers were loaded onto the vessel.
