On the Brighter Side of Korea

The eNews team asked GL Korea office on how they are coping with the current economic crisis.

Mr. J.S Lim states that the team has to be more active and aggressive when they approached customer in order to maintain or expand our business scope. Furthermore, be conservative when giving credit to customer in order to avoid payment difficulties.

Some of the activities employed by GL are:

•  Sales campaign focusing on specific areas systematically (one or two port per month)

•  The re-emphasis of local sales visits.

•  The analysis of target customer and review sale activities in greater frequency.

Regular Consol Service Development

•  European and Latin America areas - they are strongly promoting these services in Korea market as well as to our overseas agents; especially for Latin cargo.

•  To focus on improving Europe , Scandinavia & Latin America traffic.
