Bombay , the Business Capital of India, also known as the ‘Gateway of India' Most of the Northern, Central and Western regions of the country, trade via Mumbai in case of Exports and Imports

HISTORY:

•  The name Mumbai comes from Mumbadevi (Hindu Goddess) and Aai (means Mother in local lingo). The word Bombay , has been derived by the Portuguese and Anglicized

•  Mumbai was earlier an Archipelago of Seven Islands. Hence, the ancient name ‘Heptenasia'

•  The Islands were eventually leased to the ‘British East India Company' in 1668 for a sum of GBP 10 Per Annum. The company had then made optimum use of the natural deep harbour by making it the first Port in the Indian Sub Continent

•  Over a period of time, population had increased and more Civil and Engineering developments had taken place, to reach the current Urban City of Mumbai

•  60% of all customs duty collections,

•  20% of all central excise tax collections,

Currently, GLWW is transporting a fully assembled Bus on a Flat Bed Container, Ex Nhava Sheva into Abu Dhabi , which is Trans-shipped at Dubai . Five more such Buses are in pipeline…
