Trade Meet by GLWW India covering Northern and Eastern India
Mr.C.W.Tan and Mr.J.J.Thong had expressed their desire to visit the inland locations of India to understand the business potential that can be derived from these locations. These visits were clubbed with trade meets organized by GLWW India team in New Delhi, Ludhiana and Kolkata. The meet was attended by the core team members along with the local office personnel.
All the meets had huge attendance from the local trade, which consisted of Freight brokers, Shippers and Custom brokers, CFS. …and other important members from the shipping fraternity of that location.

Mr.C.W.Tan and Mr. JJ Thong had direct interaction with the local shipping fraternity and explained in detail the warehousing and logistic capabilities of the entire Group. The future plans of the Group and facilities in various locations all over the world were also highlighted.
Similar trade meets are in the pipeline at other locations in India.
GLWW India opens Office in ICD Moradabad
ICD Moradabad office was set up on 15 th Feb, 2007

GLWW Representative in Dubai for NVOCC / Project Development
Mr.A.Manoj has been appointed as an overseas representative of GLWW India in Dubai, who will look into the development and growth of NVOCC / Projects from India to the West Asia Gulf region and subsequently into South East Asia. He will be stationed in GL Weststar Dubai office for handling this operation.
He has been associated with the Shipping industry for the last 15 years on Managerial capacities with lines like COSCO and has good expertise in handling NVOCC operations within the Gulf region with close association with major Feeder operators and carriers.
CONCOR RESUMES CONTAINER RAIL MOVEMENT ON KOLKATA-NEPAL ROUTE
Growth in Imports / Exports into Nepal (ICD Birganj) via Kolkata (India) by rail.
Concor/railway plays a major role as compared to road movement, due to rough terrain Services were suspended, due to local agitation, but as of now three dedicated rakes in service with all backlogs cleared.
There will be more focus on development on this trade route due to substantial growth between Nepal and other South East Asia countries and Kolkatta will be the major focus point for development of this trade
